Animal Control
Our mission is to prevent animal cruelty and ensure proper humane treatment of all wild and domestic animals within our jurisdiction. The Township Clerk's Office is responsible for dog and cat licensing as well as overseeing our town rabies clinics. Animal Control will respond to and investigate any and all animal calls, sightings and encounters that could pose a threat to human and/or animal safety.
*** LICENSE YOUR DOG FOR 2024 ***
Beginning January 1st residents will be able to renew an existing dog license or register a new dog online @ www.sdlportal.com or through the mail.
* You MUST license your dog before January 31, 2024 to avoid the $8.00 Late Fee.
* Dog rabies vaccination must be valid through October 30, 2024 to receive a 2024 dog license.
*** LICENSE YOUR CAT FOR 2024-2025 ***
Beginning July 1st residents will be able to renew an existing cat license or register a new cat online @ www.sdlportal.com or through the mail.
* You MUST license your cat before July 31, 2024 to avoid the $8.00 Late Fee.
*Cat rabies vaccination must be valid through May 1, 2025 to receive a 2024-2025 cat license.

~ DOG/CAT (Spayed/Neutered) - $10.00
~ DOG/CAT(Unspayed/Unneutered) - $20.00
MUST PROVIDE SPAY/NEUTER CERTIFICATE IF NOT ALREADY ON FILE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE DISCOUNT*
~ LATE FEE - $8.00
~ REPLACEMENT TAG - $4.00
** There is no provision for late night or mandatory dog or cat licensing **
