(WHITE POST CARDS)

MAILED EVERY YEAR JANUARY 31st

 

THIS POST CARD IS TO INFORM THE HOMEOWNER OF THEIR CURRENT YEAR

ASSESSED VALUE,  IF A HOMEOWNER IS NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR ASSESSED VALUE THE CARD

GIVES INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE APPEAL PROCESS.

THIS CARD IN NOT TO BE USED FOR INCOME TAX PURPOSES, HOMEOWNERS

SHOULD USE THEIR FINAL TAX BILL THAT WAS MAILED IN JULY.

These rebates are state programs please feel free to contact the State of New Jersey with any questions or concerns.

TAX COLLECTION DATA QUERY

Please go to service click the link, click Tax Collection Data Query (the little page next to the block number) to look up your property tax information. New, recently added, you can now print a copy of your tax bill just select the tab on top that says print down load bill.

DROP OFF BOXES

Residents of The Township Of West Milford, please be advised that new drop off boxes have been relocated to the circle in front of town hall. You now can drive up and drop off your payment. This office is truly sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused some taxpayers.

2022 Final Billing Information

2022 final tax bills were mailed on August 24, 2022, the due date to pay property taxes without interest  is November 10, 2022 and includes the 10 day grace periode. Any payment received after November 10th 2022 will be charged interest, interest will revert back to the original due date of November  1, 2022 Please be advised that your payment must be in the office by or on the last day to  pay property taxes. Final tax bill have 2023 Febuary 1st and  May 1st quarters, please use coupons attached at the bottom of the bill, each quarter has a 10 calendar day grace period,lpayment must be received by the 10th of each of these months or interest will reert back to the original due date.

POST MARKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED

Payment must be in the office by the 10th of each quarter unless the 10th falls on a weekend or a holiday then the quarter is extended to the next business day,

any payment received afther the final due date will be charged interest and interest will revert back to the original due date.

 

Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the owner from paying property taxes and any delinquent interest that accrues from late payments.
Per N.J.S.A 54:4-64

Homestead credits for 2018 were applied to the second quarter on the 2022 tax bill.

 

IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR ESTIMATED TAX BILL FOR 2022 PLEASE CONTACT THIS OFFICE FOR A DUPLICATE BILL OR A PRINT OUT.


Homeowners, please be advised that if your taxes become delinquent at the end of the year and are over $10,000.00 in delinquencies you will be charged a 6% year end penalty. If you need further information on this please contact this office.

 All Homeowners have the option to pay by mail, in person, our office hours are from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday, or use one of our drop off boxes located outside on either end of the parking lot at the circle,one is by the 911 monument and the other is at the opposite end, or pay on-line thru this website
