Status:                         P/T – Seasonal

Schedule:                    Approximately 30 hours per week – up to 14 weeks

 

  1. Summary:

Under supervision, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Bubbling Springs Lake.  The Assistant Lake Director is responsible for the development of a competent team of lake personnel, charged with ensuring the safety of lake members and guests using the facilities.  The Assistant Lake Director will supervise seasonal staff, schedule employees for shift work, ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met, and is expected to interact with the public in a courteous, helpful and professional manner at all times.

2.  Staff Related Responsibilities

Under supervision, manages seasonal lake employees.

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, talk, hear, sit, and balance. 
  • Ability to regularly use hands to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls and to reach with hands and arms.  
  • Routinely must lift, move and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.  
  • Must be able to endure temperatures ranging from cool to extreme heat.

  2. Assists the Lake Director in assigning seasonal staff to shift work.

  3. Assign and delegate staff duties to meet program participants’ needs and goals.

  4. Plan activities for each upcoming week to assure a steady flow of events that promote program objectives.

  5. Under supervision, assesses, evaluates and reviews seasonal employee performance.

  6. Document injuries and incidents on appropriate forms provided by the Township.Reports all incidents to the Lake Director within 24 hours.

  7. Ensure safety protocols and practices are properly implemented through training and use by seasonal staff.

  8. Other duties as assigned by Lake Director.
